The Evangelicals are wrong about prophecy. Where should we start? Let's start with the "Rapture". Even though thousands of Pastors have read the Bible over and over again for a hundred years and believed Darby and Margaret Macdonald's dream about the "rapture", the Evangelicals somehow missed.
Proverbs 10:30 " The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth." To break it down, good people will not go up in a "rapture" or "removed" and the bad people will not inhabit the earth.
It is the "bad" people who will be "taken" in Mathew 24:40-42 "Mt 24:39 " And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40: Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41: Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42: Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your LORD doth come." ( kjv).
Well some Evangelicals might say the people will just "vanish" like the Rapture movie "vanished". Psalm 110 is a 2nd Coming Psalm and it says people will just die.
Psalm 110:5 " The Lord at thy right hand ( of Jesus) shall strike through kings in the day of His wrath. 6: He shall judge among the heathen, He shall fill the places with the dead bodies; He shall wound the heads over many countries.. Well some Evangelicals say the Church would not go through the Tribulation. John 17:15 disagrees.
John 17:15 " I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil." The last 2000 +/- years was the Tribulation, from Roman lion arenas, to the inquisition, to Stalin and Communism killing Christians, from Hitler killing Jews, the book The Foxes book of Martyrs first edition and 2nd edition is the tribulation or the presecond Coming tribulation and the Church has already been through it.
When will Jesus return? Hosea 6:2 says " After two days ( 2000 +/- years) will He revive us: in the third day He wil
