Recreate the Formidable Sturmgeschutz IV with This 1/35 Scale Tamiya Kit, Featuring Optional Armour and Schürzen Side Skirts Key Features 1/35 Scale Sturmgeschutz IV Assault Gun Represents a late-WWII German vehicle Includes an action-posed commander figure Optional cement block and Schürzen armour A rewarding build for intermediate modellers Overview The Sturmgeschütz IV was born out of necessity in late 1943, combining the proven superstructure of the successful StuG III assault gun with the reliable and more widely available Panzer IV chassis.
This created a powerful and effective low-profile tank destroyer and infantry support weapon that was cheaper and faster to produce than traditional turreted tanks. Armed with a potent 75mm gun, the StuG IV served on all fronts until the end of the Second World War.
This 1/35 scale Tamiya kit captures the powerful, low-slung form of the StuG IV in superb detail. The model includes several options, allowing you to build it with or without the distinctive Schürzen side armour plates and the improvised concrete armour block often added to the hull front.
A commander figure in an action pose is also included to add a human element and life to the model, making it a perfect centrepiece for a diorama.
