Starbright, from director Francesco Lucente and writers Joseph Bitoni and Olimpia Lucente, tells the story of a traumatized orphan who fantasizes about, and then enters, a fairy world to escape her life. Aisling (Alexandra Dowling) is an orphan who yearns for a better life, fantasizing about living in a fairy tale world.
When she wishes for it on a star, the wish is granted by the archangel Raphael (John Rhys-Davies), who propels her into an adventure with magic but also with consequences.
