Playing the Odds: A Data-Driven Approach to the Florida Fantasy Five is the complete documented record of a system built from scratch by Daniel Berberette, a retired MBA professional with a background in data analytics, operational metrics, and financial performance management.
Beginning in October 2025, Berberette applied the same forecasting and operations management tools used in professional business settings to the structure of a daily lottery game - Florida's Fantasy Five.
The result is the Temperature Zone System: a methodology that classifies all 36 numbers into five temperature zones (Hot, Warm, Normal, Cool, and Cold) based on rolling draw frequency.
Zone volumes drive pattern predictions, expressed as ratios across the five zones, with the underlying logic resting on a simple statistical principle - equilibrium correction, where zones revert toward their historical averages over large samples. The book walks through the entire process: how the idea formed, how the system was designed and refined.
