Lady Wall Vase, Ceramic Wall Decor, Whimsical Pottery

This lady wall vase was cut from a slab of earthenware clay with a shallow pocket attached to the back. Using majolica glazing techniques, I decorated her with a blue and white outfit, black hair, and little pink cheeks. The reverse is unglazed except for the interior of the pocket (so it can hold a small amount of water for flowers).

It hangs easily on a nail thanks to a small wire loop securely embedded in the ceramic. Use it alone or with a collection of other pieces, empty or holding a few slender flower stems; she is sure to add somewhimsical interest to your wall!
