In a Matabeleland village shaded by jacaranda trees, Boy Masaka finds himself drawn to Thabiso "Ma-T" Sithole, the magnetic hustler renting his mother's spare room. Thabiso has a girlfriend he calls Barbs, a past he doesn't talk about, and a pull toward Boy neither of them can explain away as coincidence.
When a jealous rival spots what they're trying to hide, Boy is forced to choose between protecting a secret and losing the one thing that finally feels like his. Under the falling blossoms, the truth is about to come out, one way or another.
