Opening your find
Opening your find
Being told that you or someone close to you needs a heart-bypass operation is a serious, scary thing, that may affect many aspects of your life. After the initial shock, however, it is possible to manage your fear about what is a statistically safe procedure that will give you, your loved-one, or your friend a new lease of life.
In writing this book, my hope was that it will serve as a layman's guide to some of the things you will experience, give you the confidence to face your operation without fear, and help you to look forward to your recovery period and to being fit & healthy.
It contains tips from the experience of my own operation that might help before, during and after your time in hospital.
